'A lone creature, in a doorless cell, slowly descends into the realisation that it is and forever will be... alone.'

Close friend and musician, Dion McVey, came to me with an experimental song and asked me to create an animation inspired by the music, naturally I couldn't resist a challenge, the animation seen was made over the course of two weeks using Abode After Effects CS4.

Special thanks to Dion for giving me an excuse to be creative!

@00:01Flatterer, here, I think you might like this one, my first ever animation to music, I can't post it on here, because the song is so well-known, keep an eye out for the film reference ;)

I like the strangeness and awkwardness....it is like the figure is spiraling down to madness because of lonliness. Technically I like how the mouth is put on the figure...I think I couldnt do it so accurate as you did.

Thank you, I was inspired by a some lawn ornaments that looked like stones with zipper mouths, I thought the design would give an extra eeriness to the character, also I've just finished another film, this time inspired by the work of 1920 german expressionist films, tell me what you think?

I liked it all in all. Just tiny thing to critisize. I liked the ending, because it has a thread...pretty and deductive. Also the comic in between told as a bedtime story is a cool idea. Only thing to critisize is the viewing direction of the chef. He - as far as I understood it is you - is looking into weird directions, and therefor does not seem focused on the situation. Nevertheless it was totally worth watching it :)
